Now Max is the all time cutest dog in the world, so of course the similarities start there. But it goes beyond that. I, obviously, have red hair, and my husband, Sean, has dark brown hair. And Max is a combination of the two. Half red and half dark brown (ok, black for the more color-stringent of you out there. But close enough.). Additionally, being half Daschund, Max is long and skinny, as am I. But, with his other half being Pomeranian, his body is shorter and thicker and his legs longer, rounding him out a bit, but not in a bad way. It is the Pomeranian in him that makes him look more like Sean. And then there is his behavior. Max loves to play around and have fun, but he also has a cuddly side to him. Like now, for example, Max is laying across my lap, covering half of my laptop and one of my arms with his body (which makes typing rather difficult, but I manage. A trooper, I know.). He also likes to act tough and talk big, barking at other dogs and people as long as there is a door, window, or fence in between him and the offending character. The minute said obscurity is removed, however, Max becomes the biggest wussy-dog I have ever seen, scooting down obscure passageways and hightailing it the opposite direction in order to avoid confrontation. This behavior, too, is a lot like me. I may talk big when the offender is no where to be seen, but all nerves fail in a face-to-face confrontation.
In case you have yet to be convinced of my hypothesis despite my impeccably thorough demonstration, I will provide still more examples that will certainly persuade you to see the genius of my theory:
