The Immanent Extinction of Gingers
So, I have been thinking. I have heard, and not just from Bennie boy, of a supposed immanent extinction of the ginger people. This prediction, I suppose, has some solid basis. I mean, how often do you see ginger-on-ginger dating occurring? Not all that often, right? And while some people, and I think you know who you are, are praying for this blessed day to occur, I am rather downhearted about the matter. I mean, sure, of course there are some out there that give a bad name to the entire ginger community. Carrot Top, for example, has done little to promote the popularity of the ginger. Danny Bonaduce, often referenced by Ben as one of the prime causes of ginger discrimination, has probably done even less. But there are some good ones, too. We all remember Lucille Ball. Now who can honestly say they don't love Lucy? And of course there is always Lindsey Lohan. Although her contribution to the public opinion of gingers is debatable, you can't argue that she's cute, or at least was in her circa 2004 days. And there are many others as well: Julianne Moore, Nicole Kidman, Amy Adams, Debra Messing, Marcia Cross, Reba McEntire, Prince Harry, Damian Lewis, and David Caruso. Obviously it's not that there aren't hot redheads out there. So what's the problem? Why is it that the extinction of the beloved ginger is projected as inevitable? Well, in scientific terms, according to Mendel and his Punnett squares, in order to breed a ginger, you have to mate two people with ginger genetics. And since gingers don't even date each other, breeding with each other isn't really in the cards. Of course, if we decided to get really serious about it, we could always do sperm implantation, or other various forms of genetic engineering. However, as it stands it seems that most are not too concerned about the predicament facing the ginger race. Therefore, if, in fact, extinction is the true destiny of gingers, say your goodbyes now. Reminisce on the priceless moments in ginger history... Okay, so not many are coming to mind. But mind you this, you'll miss us when we're gone.
